Ametrine is a special variety of natural quartz, in which the colors of amethyst (purple) and citrine (golden yellow) are visible together in one and the same crystal. Although its name refers to these two well-known stones, ametrine is not a mixture of amethyst and citrine, but a single mineral in which these colors arise from natural variations in iron during crystal formation. Truly special!
