Moldavite is a rare natural glass that formed when a meteorite struck Earth about 15 million years ago. It was created by a meteorite impact in southern Germany, which hurled molten Earth into the atmosphere. This material solidified and fell in parts of the Czech Republic, especially around the Vltava River.
