Grape agate is a unique form of chalcedony that owes its name to its typical grape-like (botryoidal) structure. The stone consists of small spherical aggregates that form clusters together, creating a natural “bunch of grapes” texture.
The color usually varies from purple to lavender and sometimes grayish or brownish shades, depending on the minerals included during its formation. The soft, rounded structures give the stone an organic and soothing appearance.
